Precision fruit growing

This year, too, a number of trials relating to precision fruit growing will be conducted at FRC. For NXTgen, we are carrying out precision thinning on Elstar trees for the third year running, based on Treescout data, with the aim of achieving a more uniform orchard and generating economic added value. On the organic plot, we intend to start tree-specific thinning using the mechanical thinning machine, so that organic growers can also apply tree-specific thinning.
