About FRC Randwijk
Fruit Research Centre Randwijk is the leading practical knowledge and innovation centre for fruit growing. Through research, demonstrations and collaboration within the chain, we are working to create a strong and future-proof sector.
FRC Randwijk is an initiative of CAF, Delphy, Fruitconsult, NFO and WUR, supported by virtually all Dutch fruit growers and backed by around 100 leading companies in the fruit chain.
Our Advisory Board provides direction on strategy, research, budgeting and marketing, thereby strengthening the connection with the sector.
Our vision and objectives
FRC Randwijk is the research location for independent and practice-oriented innovation and knowledge development for fruit growing and a source of inspiration for the fruit growing sector both within and outside the Netherlands.
We work together with the primary sector, the cultivation-related technology sector and the education sector.
FRC Randwijk focuses primarily on hard fruit (apples and pears), stone fruit (cherries, plums), red berries and, secondarily, on small fruit (together with Delphy ISFC Horst) and fruit trees.
Core themes
- Sustainable fruit growing (with a focus on organic fruit growing)
