New captan label in demo trial

In 2026, the practice will start working with the new contours of the captan label for the first time. With a dosage reduction of -61% to 0.71 or 0.88 kg/ha per application, the trick is to come up with a schedule that maintains the effectiveness of control. Of course, this has been a focus for several years, but learning by doing, demonstration research and practice with innovative solutions. These seem to lie in smart combinations such as alternating, adding additives (flow agents/deposition improvers) and increasing the resilience of the tree. In recent years, our RedPrince demonstration plot on FRC Randwijk has even been too small to test all the desired strategy choices. CAF and FruitConsult are collaborating on the composition and financing of the various objects. FruitConsult is responsible for implementation on FRC Randwijk. We are currently working on the final arrangements for the 2026 demonstration trial. With ripe ascospores identified yesterday by our colleagues at WUR at our location, we know that, together with green parts, this demo will start in the near future.
