Woody Soft Fruit Centre
A new Woody Berry Centre (HKC) is being realised on the FRC Randwijk site, covering an area of approximately half a hectare. The HKC will focus on blue and red currants, raspberries and blackberries. The partners of the experimental garden are being supported in the design of the HKC by Vlamings, HortiNova and a number of berry growers. Together they form a workgroup that will intensively supervise and support the design and development of the HKC.
In addition to their sponsorship, Vlamings and HortiNova are making their cultivation expertise and their network available to help make the Woody Small Fruits Centre a success. Of course, the current partners of the experimental garden are also committed to making the HKC a success. Fruitconsult will take care of the HKC’s maintenance and contribute knowledge and experience from the field of large fruit, CAF will contribute knowledge and experience from large fruit and small fruit, NFO will utilise its network and guarantee a connection with the practical side of fruit growing, and WUR will guarantee independence and contribute its broad research expertise.
Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions about the HKC.
