Oxin Growers: Control of Pear Scab
At FRC Randwijk, research will be conducted in the coming years into pear scab. The aim of the research is to gain insight into the life cycle and infection biology of pear scab. With this knowledge, a systems approach can be developed to control pear scab. The results will be used, among other things, for the development of a DSS (decision support system/warning model). A DSS offers pear growers tools for the control and management of pear scab. This research is being carried out by WUR and Fruitconsult on behalf of the growers’ cooperative Oxin Growers.
People involved in the project:
Geert Kessel (WUR), Marcel Wenneker (WUR), Kiki Kots (WUR), Melanie van Driel (WUR), Marc André de la Porte (Fruit grower and member of Oxin Growers), Astrid Steenvoorden (Oxin Growers), Stijn van Laer (Fruitconsult) and Jade van Doorn (Fruitconsult)
