Monthly Update – April
Last month was a real rush hour when it came to all the fruit set spray applications. We also applied ATS using a task map. This is one of the busiest times of the year at the trial orchard, with crop protection trials in full swing, the planting of new trees, closing of the hail nets, and much more.

At the trial orchard, we are seeing a high number of “kappertjes” (blossoms that fail to develop), which is causing concern. The beetle problem remains very relevant. The key question is how to raise more awareness among the decision-makers responsible for the authorization of crop protection products.
There’s a lot happening on all fronts. Preparations are also underway for the supporter/sponsor day, and we’re doing our best to make it an engaging and valuable event.
